procastifashion
...a personal post by T in plain english.
Oh my, I have been sitting on my desk for 2 hours with my eyes on Youtube. Gotta admit that I could spend hours on that addictive site especially on the FashionTV channel! I could be so hooked up that there would be no such things called breakfast, lunch, and dinner.. (Don't judge me, I know! Haha.)
Well, there was a sole purpose of actually opening it in the first place which is to get some inspiration for my upcoming designs (collaborating with my lovely designers! credits go to them).
FOLLOW!
Speaking about designing, Batik Batik will hopefully reveal its next collection before Christmas! Meanwhile, enjoy our 50% off discount on all items, free shipping and +++ more surprises from Batik Batik e-boutique! Oh dear.. who would want to miss such a beautiful thing?
Anyway, me's back to work. Have a sweet night guys! xo

batik: an exquisite wearable art
So we guess batik is spreading it's wings. In fact, "it's a world-wide phenomena" says Dave Ray, a freelance ethno-photographer whose passion is to create understanding between the people, cultures, civilisations, faiths & world-views of our globe.
Do not mistaken batik with printed fabrics. Although batik has been internationally acknowledged and actually being used by quite a few local and international designers in their collections, many people still see it as a tropical flowered piece of clothing instead of a work of art. The methods of creating batik are very intricate, it makes batik stands out of the crowd; and naming itself, an exquisite wearable art. x
And it took off...

high-end bohemian rules
“Fashion has to reflect who you are, what you feel at the moment, and where you are going.
It does not have to be bright, does not have be loud. Just has to be you.” x - BB
Speaking about Bohemian style, it is about being comfortable in your own skin and showing the world who you are and what you are all about.
Bohemian style was inspired by the hippie movement in the 60s (reference: Stye Blondie blog. where are you girl?) and all that you need to have the so-called bohemian look is first to have a carefree attitude, lay back, and be creative.
The secret to look truly bohemian is to mix up and enjoy! Play with necklaces, rings, bracelets, bangles, belts, bags, head-piece and whatnot. Boots are the best piece if you aim for the absolute boho comfort or definitely go with heels to have a more of a high end look (it's not a sin if we are heels lovers, we certainly can still pull it off!).
Rule of thumb: You must put yourself above the bar when it comes to choosing accessories.
Go mad and free with colourful pieces (if you'd like) or stay clean with the earthy colours!
Last but not least, you need to know that be it a laid-back boho style or a dressed-up one, beads and gemstones totally rule the bohemian world! The Olsen twins, Nicole Richie, and supermodel Kate Moss would say so.

Spring is here! And the biggest social event on the calendar is rocking the ground of Victoria. But.. "social event"? maybe we should say "fashion event" instead. We love the royal look of Kate Middleton's. Elegance in simplicity, ultimate look for a racing carnival. xo - BB
